ANIMAL CONSERVATION.

This paper discusses the importance of the extinction of endangered animals.

Extinction is a natural process. Even before humans evolved and many plants and animals were in danger, for example, due to weather.
But when humans evolved the process of extinction was faster due to lack of resources, hence, humans began to hunt, build in habitats where they lived, etc.. To lead a better life.

That is why the irreparable damage that humans have created have been several extinctions, for example, "The dodo was a bird that lived in the Indian Ocean, ty flying in islands such as Mauritius. But with the arrival of humans to the sea, "The dodo became a source of food for humans, the population declined rapidly dodos, doing so completely disappeared.

With regard to endangered animals know that many animals are endangered due to human activity as we discussed earlier.
The World Wildlife Fund works hard to raise humans from the situation where animals are and to find ways to protect them.

The most striking examples of endangered animals include the rhino, panda, whale and tiger.

The purpose of this foundation is to protect animals and their natural habitats are problems such as pollution and deforestation and the threat posed by poachers.

SECOND TERM - TEEN MUSIC

TEEN MUSIC

This session consisted in read a text about download music and know more about this activity and which are their consecuences.

After read the text and did some exercices, we know that It's legal to download music when you pay for downloading from shops on the internet, that pop stars and their companies get their money from sellin CDs and to invent in new band and if we don't buy  CDs the future of pop music is in danger.
The text also spoke about famous singers like Black Eyed Peas.

In my opinion isn't wrong to download songs from internet and I don't think it's true that the future of pop music depends on it because they earn much money on advertising, concerts, etc ...

In my case, for example, I haven't enough money to buy a CD, it costs me at least 14 €, every time that I like a song, plus, a disc only have one or two good songs, the others don't worth it.

I believe that if  put the discs cheaper, the problem wouldn't be so great.
but I also say that if I were a singer, I wouldn't like people download my songs and wouldn't buy my records.

FIRST TERM - TENN RIGHTS

TENN RIGHTS

The first that we did was read a text related with Child's rights. Somes of this rigts are:

- The right to a family.
- The right to an identity
- The right to a healthy life .
- The right to education.
- The right to equality.
- The right to opinions and information.
- The right to protection from dangerous work.

After that, we did a listening in wich We listened  the opinions of some teenagers. those opinions were related to things that in their opinion young people must or don't must doing.

Finally, we read a text that explained what is article 12, children rights' organisation in the UK.

In my opinions is very important to know more about our rights.
But sometimes these rights are worthless, for example a child who has no family and is starving, like so many children there are, you can have all the rights of the world but that child will continue to die and the rights aren't going to serve for nothing.
althoug in some cases is good to know about them.

FIRST TERM - HUMAN RIGHTS FOR GREEN APES

HUMAN RIGHTS FOR GREEN APES
We read a text in which it told an anecdote that accurred about young an a chimpanzee when some friends went to the zoo.
The text also says that chimpanzees and other apes are always the favorite attraction in all zoos.
Finally  the author tells of a group of people called the Great Ape Project (GAP) to campaign for animals to be afford these "human rights ".

The declaration calls for three point to Be Granted rights to great apes:
- The Right to Life
-The Protection of Individual Liberty
- The Prohibition of Torture

We read this text was the first part of the class, well, really we did this activity in a class (try to understand the text and ask Megan for the words that we don't understand). The next class we anwered some questions related to the text.

In my opinion we aren't one to take the life of another living being, much less to torture him or make him suffer just to have some fun, I don't find it anything funny
I agree with part of the text that said that sometimes the animals seem more human (doing the things well) that humans, that the vast majority of the time they behave like animals.
I find it very fitting that animals have rights, but if people do not respect the human rights, you believe that they may respect the rights of animals?

FIRST TERM - TEEN TIME

TEEN TIME

In this class we also read a text. This text spoke about what doing  teenagers in their free time.
The most part of their time, they are watching TV or playing computer's games. For example the overage of the time that teenagers spend watching TV is 2.5 hour and in 2003, they spend  £ 1,5 million on computer games.
The text also said that less than 50% of teenagers play team sports, and they hardly ever go to gyms because they're too expensive.
After read the text, we answered some questions related to the text.

Lastly we listened four teenagers speaking about the things that they do on their free time.
The first, Sharon has lots of different hobbie and interests and she doesn't whatch TV but watches films.
Martin, doesn't get ery much physical exercise and he spends a lot of time surfing the internet.
Another boy, Duncan has a hobby that might become a profession and sometime goes dancing in clubs.
Karen is very keen on physical exerciseand and he does aerobic.

I think It's truth that we (teenagers) spend so much time on the computer and television, but what we do if when we finished homework and study are at least 9 at night?
at that time our parents don't let us go out if we have school the next morning, so all we can do to have some fun time is watching TV or playing on the computer.
Adults criticize us for doing basically nothing but they neither do much sport or go to the gym, they spend their free time doing more or less the same as us.

On the other hand, many parents don't let their children go out alone to run or do sport because it's dangerous but don't want that their children spend their money on a gym then ... What can we do?

FIRST TERM - TEEN VOICES

TEEN VOICES

In this class our classmates read a text about the cultures in Britain.
In these activities we learn about British culture, and the immigrants who go there to work and run businesses.
We talk that Celts, Ramons, Saxons, Vikings and Normons invaded Britain between 500 BC and 1000 AD.
Now we know that Irish people came to Britan to scape famine and Jewish people came to scape anti-Semitions.
In the 19505 and 19605 immigrants came from British colonies and formes colonies in the Caribbean and Asia.
We also know about the most popular dish in Britain, Curry that came from India.
As you can see Britain always has been a multi-cultural place.

Finally we listened and answered some questions about this topic.

Miriam and I wasn't in the class because we were with the teacher of religion at the convent of Carmelite's nuns, so then we asked to our classmates about this session
They said to us that our new native's teather Meghan has already arrived.

PRIMER TRIMESTRE.
